HPMC Employees:

IMPORTANT: To be admitted to this class (Part 2 of NRP) which is the hands-on portion of the NRP,  the staff must complete the on-line exam, all chapters (Part 1) from the NRP Learning Platform.  The certificate (proof of completion of Part 1) is required to be admitted in this skill assessment class (Part 2).  

PART 1 - To take NRP Exam. You must go to the following link:  https://NRPlearningplatform.com/login  and register. You must first create an account in the NRP Learning Platform (RQI partners). 

• Go to the NRP Catalog on the top left of the screen. 
• Select either Essentials or Advanced under "Course Type" to the left of the screen then click Enroll. Essentials are for the staff RNs who are only responsible for the resuscitation of a newborn up to PPV, and they are the RNs working in MBCU.  Advanced is for RNs and RTs who work in the NICU and Labor and Delivery.  Advanced delivers a curricula beyond PPV.  It is important that you select the correct one.
• Complete payment information to enroll..
• Part 1 (from the NRP learning platform) MUST be completed PRIOR to Part 2 (skill/instructor-led event)
• You have unlimited attempts to take the exam.
• After completion of part 1,  print out the e code certificate of completion.. You MUST bring this to your Instructor-Led Event.

PART 2 - Instructor-Led Event/Skill Demonstration at HPMC

You must register for NRP 8th edition Instructor-led Events via the NRP Learning Platform before attending the event.  You can either register yourself for events or you can be registered by an instructor or administrator.  The event must be completed and graded as passed before you have access to the evaluation.

Once all steps are complete and you have been passed by the instructor, you will be sent a link to access your NRP Provider eCard.

Compensation:

NRP Learning Platform-submit "Time Adjustment Correction Form" to your manager/designee

Instructor-Led Event/Skill part-submit a complete and signed Education Approval form to Education Department prior to class

Online Class Fee Reimbursement:
