Assault Response Competency (ARC): First Time/Initial - Live 4 hour Training (SB 1299/AB 508)
ALERT:
- 4hr Training (First Time/ Initial): Required for student taking ARC for the first time.
- 2hr Training (Renewal only): For those who have a current ARC and will be expiring soon.
Classroom Programs – Courses may be cancelled for low or no enrollment.
Flu Season Requirements: Face covering is required if attendee is missing one (1) of two (2) vaccine requirements for flu season (Flu shot and/or Covid booster). Attendees must have 2 green clips on their badge to be exempt from using face covering. This is not optional.
Late Admissions: Late admissions will not be allowed after 5 minutes from class start time.
HPMC STAFF: EDUCATION APPROVAL FORM IS REQUIRED and MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN THE DAY OF THE CLASS, OR RISK NOT GETTING PAID.

- Non-HPMC Employees/ Contract staff/ Traveler & Registry/ Physicians: Course Fee is $65 and $15 for materials. Payment is due on the day of the class.
- Employees: Payment is not required; however, please make sure to submit your Education Approval Form 72 hours prior to the class date. You can download the form through the HPMC Connect by going to the Education Department web page of Click Here to download.

Description:

This four hour class will include the following: General safety measures, personal safety measures, the assault cycle, characteristics of aggressive and violent patients, strategies to avoid physical harm, and restraining techniques. Participants will need to wear comfortable clothing. Hands-on techniques are included. Please consult your facility policy to verify that this is the course that is needed. . .
