Description
|
This program will cover the basics of wound and skin care, stages, prevention of breakdown, documentation and notification procedures will be emphasized.

Materials
|
Materials will be provided during class.

Fees:

$35.00 ($30 Course Materials + $5.00 Materials) Course fee is waived for HPMC employees, except Contract staff

Continuing Education:
|
- 2 hours. California Board of Registered Nursing CEP# 15122. Approved for CNA HHA NAC#: 1046 Appropriate for all healthcare personnel. EMS Provider 62-2034. Please ask for special roster at the class.

NOTES:

- Class materials and books may NOT be returned if opened.
- No refunds if any part of the course has been attended.
- The entire course must be attended to receive a certificate.
- There are no student or new grad discounts for this course.

Dress Code: In order to maintain a safe and professional presence when attending all HPMC classes, business casual attire is expected of all participants.
**Unacceptable attire includes the following:
- Revealing, see-through or tight-fitting garments including:
- Tube, tank, crop-tops, nor other low cut tops
- Shorts, skirts, dresses
- Saggy/baggy pants or shirts
- Leggings without proper longer shirt or sweater coverage
- Ripped or distressed clothing; jeans
- Sandals, slip on shoes without back/heel straps(e.g. “Crocs”), heeled/platform shoes and no open toe shoes—all are unsafe for class participation
- No gang related attire
- No hats
**Note: Persons not wearing professional and safe clothing to class may not be admitted and will be asked to reschedule.
